Gluten Free, Yeast Free Pizza Crust Recipe

Hey Friends,

Try this to see if you like it. It’s a thin crust that is easy to make.
First, you’ll need a non-stick deep dish pizza pan coated with your favorite oil/fat. Be generous because corn starch sticks to everything like glue!
Preheat oven to 425.
Gently mix the following in a medium bowl:
1/2 C cornstarch
1/2 C Rice flour (you may substitute any flour and even use several types, to your taste)
2/3 C Milk (any milk unsweetened)
2 fresh eggs
1 Tsp sea salt
1 Tablespoon Italian seasonings
dash of garlic powder or minced garlic

Mix gently with a spoon then pour into the oiled pan.
This is a liquid at this point NOT a dough.
Bake at 425 for 18-20 minutes.
Crust will bubble and firm up.
Remove from oven and cool for 1-2 minutes then loosen crust by
slipping a plastic spatula under the crust.
Top with your favorite ingredients then bake at 425 for 10-15 minutes.
Until cheese is melted and pizza is hot.  Enjoy!

Proven Ways To More Youthful Energy

One major source of human aging is what happens to our mitochondria. Mitochondria convert our food into energy. Without them, we die. As we age, our mitochondria die off and what’s left loses function. The good news is you can do something about that if you choose! One way is exercise. A new way: an innovation in anti-aging is a dietary supplement called Vitality:a proprietary blend of natural ingredients to return you to youthful energy(increased numbers of mitochondria). There is NOTHING on the market like Vitality. People get results with this product. My passion is helping people look and feel GREAT for their age, any age. Check my website: www.liveyoungandfree.com  Call me today.  Until then, enjoy Dr Mirkin’s Ezine below:

Dr. Gabe Mirkin’s Fitness and Health E-Zine March 6, 2011

How Exercise Keeps You Young (and Prolongs Your Life)Dr. Mark Tarnopolsky, of McMaster University, Ontario, has shown that exercise prevents aging in mice programmed to grow old rapidly (The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, September 22, 2010).  The exercising mice did not have the expected shrinkage with aging of their brains, hearts, muscles, skin, hair, ovaries, testicles, spleen, kidneys, and liver.  Many other studies show that exercise in later life slows signs of aging such as loss and graying of hair, weaker and smaller muscles, loss of brain function and size, thinning of skin, damage to blood vessels associated with heart attacks and strokes, loss of apoptosis associated with increased cancer risk, and loss of sexuality associated with shrinking of testicles and ovaries.  The explanation for these incredible findings appears to be in the mitochondria that convert food to energy for your body. At all ages, the exercising mice appeared younger and healthier than the non-exercising mice.  Mitochondria have a different DNA than other cells in mammals.  That means that in the process of evolution, bacteria invaded cells and provided the ability to turn sugar to energy more efficiently than any other process in the body. Aging in humans is associated with loss of function and number of mitochondria which causes decline in tissue functions that causes cancers, arteriosclerosis, diabetes, and Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. With aging, genetic mutations cause mitochondria to malfunction and die and you to look older.        As you age, you lose your ability to make AMP-activated protein kinase, also known as AMPK (Cell Metabolism, February2007).  This enzyme functions to increase mitochondria in muscles.  Anything that reduces the number or efficiency of mitochondria interferes with your body’s ability to burn fat and sugar for energy. As a result, blood sugar, fat and cholesterol levels rise.  Most cells in your body contain many mitochondria, small furnaces that burn food for energy.  With aging, the number and the efficiency of mitochondria both decrease. This interferes with your body’s ability to turn food into energy. The extra calories that are not burned accumulate in your body as fat in your muscles, liver and fat cells.  This causes you to gain weight. Extra fat in cells block their ability to take in sugar from the blood stream, so blood sugar levels rise and you are at increased risk for developing diabetes.  Extra fat in the liver prevent the liver from removing extra insulin, so insulin levels rise to constrict arteries and cause heart attacks.  Insulin also makes you hungry all the time to increase your chances of gaining weight.        AMPK is increased by exercise and by drugs used to treat diabetes, such as metformin or Actos. The best way to increase the number and size of mitochondria in your cells is to exercise. If you do not have a regular exercise program, you are shortening your life.        For a more detailed explanation of how exercise strengthens mitochondria and prevents aging, see http://www.drmirkin.com/public/ezine102410.html        The benefits reported in mice appear to apply to humans.  For the last two years, Diana and I (ages 69 and 75)have been part of group of tandem bicycle riders, ages 40s to70s, who race flat out for 25 to 30 miles three times a week and ride more than 100 additional miles in the rest of the week.  All look younger, are thinner and more muscular, and are far more active than their same-age contemporaries in The Villages, Florida where we live.
The e-Zine is provided as a service.  Dr.Mirkin’s reports and opinions are for information only, and are not intended todiagnose or prescribe. For your specific diagnosis and treatment, consult your doctor or health care provider. For more information visit http://www.drmirkin.com

RUN FOR MALAWI CHALLENGE

Demonstrate your Vitality and your Difference by running/walking for a cause this year!

In 2011 Nu Skin Distributors and employees & friends of Nuskin have teamed up to be a Force for Good for the Mtalimanja Village in Malawi.

From January 13, 2011 until June 30, 2011, every mile you run will count towards raising money for the Malawi Build a Village Project. The more miles all participants run in total, the more Nu Skin will contribute. Every 1000 miles that you and Nu Skin total, will equal one secondary education scholarship for a child in Malawi.

Only 25-percent of the Malawian population is able to attend secondary school so your efforts will profoundly affect the life of a young person who has the ambition to continue their education, but lacks the funds to do so.

How does it work?
The Nike+ system consists of a small sensor attached to your shoe, which records the distance of your runs. It communicates with the Nike+ Sportband, the Nike+ Sportkit with iPod nano, or directly with a second or third Generation iPod Touch, iPhone 3GS, or iPhone 4.

Once the Nike+ device is connected to your computer, it uploads your workout data onto the Nike+ website where we have a Run for Malawi challenge page.
After you have joined the challenge, every mile you run will count towards scholarship donations!

Participating in the challenge is easy!
1. Get your Nike+ device (Nike, amazon, running shop)
2. Create an account at Nikeplus.com
3. Join the “Run for Malawi Challenge” on Nikeplus.com- Click here, http://on.fb.me/eKx12V goes directly to the Challenge sign-up page.
4. Demonstrate your Vitality – start running or walking!
5. Upload your miles to the Run for Malawi Challenge

Please pass on to your friends who may want to be a part of this effort!
